"SeaWeCan" is an voluntary opportunity to make a contribution to the disabled sailing associations of your choice and have some fun doing it.
The idea is to privately subscribe a set amount of money/per nautical mile, that you sail/motor or drift in a year or season, depending on your location.
For example, you pledge, to yourself, that you'll contribute .10 per nautical mile you sail/motor during your sailing season. If your lucky enough to not have a seasonal sailing season, use a year. This is a figure you alone create and honor. So if you've sailed/motored 500 nautical miles, you would then need to contribute $50.00 to a disabled sailor organization of your choice.
You then contact an organization and make your donation DIRECTLY to the non-profit association.
You can pre-select your organization on the outset or at the time of your donation. See our listings under "Challenged Sailor Associations" below for some suggested associations.
We are also registering new organizations that our participants suggest. Note: Any organization must be a registered charity to be included in our list.
